What are Side Plates?

Impact crusher plates are wear-resistant chrome steel plates that protect and reduce corrosion between the metal parts of crusher machines. The plates help protect the mainframe of the crusher as it fractures and fragments abrasive material. The double wear existence technology developed by our engineered experts ensures high-tenacity operations.

Design of Impact Crusher Side Plates

The side plates are attached to the rotor to protect the front from the impact force’s wear and tear. Impact plates are replaceable but still need solid material strength to ensure longevity.

Another feature of impact crusher side plates is the apron liners. Apron liners are located at the top of the crusher to protect it from material impact during the crushing process. These impact liners must be made of high-strength steel to prolong crushers’ service life.

We offer two-way solutions for impact crushers. Although the ordinary side plates are made of chrome steel, we offer bimetal side plates with a mix of chrome steel alloy.

Chrome steel is one of the most rigid wear-resistant steels and is popular amongst our recurring clients. We manufacture high-strength, low-alloy, and highly-graded chromium iron that is mixed to create a high-strength and durable metallurgical steel combination.

In our design, the impact plate comes with a casting made of chrome white iron that is brazed with a mild steel back plate. The upper layer ensures longer wear life, whereas the back steel ensures high impact resistance. Both liners can be made and installed with pre-welded bolts to avoid more wear.

High chrome side plates can withstand materials with higher moisture content. It can also withstand other forms of material used in mineral processing and stones.
Our chrome crusher side plate does not add more load, ensuring the impact crusher stays low on consuming energy while crushing more rigid materials.
The replacement for impact side plates is easier with much lower maintenance costs. The wear of the parts of the impact crusher is more minor than that of other crushers, and the bottom grinding rod is also easy to replace.
The replacement of spare parts for the impact crusher is simple, and the maintenance cost is less.
